We will look at several buildings:
Straw-Bale House
Small Thatched Round House with centre pole and grass roof extension
House all from all round timber
Classic Oak Barn with hemp and lime plastered walls
Timber Frame on stilts
Round house with free carrying grass roof from round logs.
Depending on the course we will spend one or two days looking at the buildings which are all in the neighborhood. We schedule 3 to 4 houses a day to allow enough time for talking to the owners, and answering all possible questions.

Sneem is a place where many individualists have ben drawn to over the Years, and many of them have left their mark, with a very different house that they built for them self.
You may say, one needs building experience for that, and you don't have that.
Many of the houses we will show you have been build by people with no previous experience, and still they managed to create their own individual phantasmic space.
We will take you for a tour to show you many different types of all self built houses, to inspire you to make your own.
I have build many houses my self, traditional ones and more unusual ones, including site-preparation, plumbing and wiring. Together with the owners of the houses we show you, we will try to answer all your questions regarding your own ideas of your future dream building.
